The last twelve months have slipped by so quickly. It only seems like yesterday that we were at our Reunion in Blackpool. I get the impression that as we get older the years pass more quickly, a pity really, but that’s life.

At the last Reunion the Association agreed to support two cadets from TS Newfoundland, to serve on the Sea Training Ship, TS Royalist. On page 31 you can read the journal entry from Elizabeth Johnson, one of the cadets. Thank you, and well done Elizabeth, an interesting read.

The articles have come in on a regular basis, thank you to all the subscribers. Also your letters, they are a very important part of The Newfoundland Times. From them we can judge just how well we, as a committee, are performing, and whether we have the balance right on the articles submitted.

My thanks to Ron Windebank for the photographs in the centre pages. He aquired them from the Imperial War Museum.

Finally, my thanks to Barry Hammond (EA, 1952/55) for proof reading for another year. Where would I be without him keeping me on track.

Apart from that all is well. I hope to speak to as many of you as possible at the Reunion.
